Networking

One of the goals of the SMART Summit is to encourage networking in an informal setting.

We have a number of events lined up:

One-on-one sessions

We are setting up sessions for each delegate to spend one-on-one time with the ApplyIT OpSuite Product Developers – an opportunity not to be missed!

Social Events

San Rock Art Centre
After registration on the first evening, we will gather for pre-dinner drinks at the San Rock Art Centre, which offers a rare insight into the art and culture of the San.  We will then be taken on a journey of discovery through fascinating displays and a multimedia show that takes place in an auditorium within a replica cave covered with accurate reproductions of San Art sites from the Drakensberg Mountains.

African Theme Dinner
Following on from the San Art presentation, a themed African dinner will be laid on in a magnificent setting to allow people to meet each other and share common areas of interest.  A high profile guest speaker will present and set the scene for the remainder of the conference.

Gala Dinner
This is the formal dinner for the conference (no need for formal dress however!).  Awards will be presented and the focus will be to have an entertaining evening.  As this will be after the leisure activities we aim to maintain the relaxed atmosphere with live musicians and allow everyone to enjoy themselves.

Leisure Activities

Please note that activities are on a first come, first serve basis.  Should there not be space available on your preferred choice we will contact you to try and organise an alternative.

Golf

Limited space is available for golf enthusiasts to try their skills at
the Cathedral Peak golf course.  Four-balls will be arranged once
all reservations have been received.  The format is still to be
decided but will cater for all including hackers!

4x4 Drive - Mike's Pass or Bushman Paintings

For those who prefer the less physically demanding activities,
Didima offers a 4x4 drive up Mike's Pass to the top of the little
Berg near the Didima gorge, or to visit various Bushman paintings
  in the surrounding area.

Hikes

Those who wish to stretch their legs can hike on various
trails, where one can experience stunning views of the main
escarpment and surrounding lowland.  Hikes range from gentle to
  more stenuous.

Other activities include horse riding, squash, a wall climbing tower, and mini golf.

A swimming pool and tennis courts are also available at Didima camp should you wish to simply relax by the pool or unwind with a friendly game of tennis.
