​The Board of ApplyIT (Pty) Ltd is delighted to announce the appointment of Scott Bredin as Executive Director of ApplyIT (Pty) Ltd, effective 10th February 2010.

Scott has been an employee of ApplyIT since inception in 1999, and has extensive knowledge of ApplyIT’s Operations Suite business, the products and customers.

His formal responsibilities as Product Development Director include optimising the growth of the OpSUITE business, developing product support functions including implementation consulting, improving customer satisfaction and loyalty, aligning investments in OpSUITE towards organisational strategy, as well as having responsibility for the OpSUITE go-to-market strategy in specific customer segments.

Scott matriculated from Hilton College with an A Aggregate, and studied philosophy and fine art at the University of Natal where he graduated BA (summa cum laude), BA (Hons) (cum laude) and Master in Fine Arts (cum laude).  

He has qualified in professional programming, is a Microsoft certified professional and holds a certificate in IT Project Management from RAU.

Scott joined AECI Bioproducts in June 1998 as a software developer, where he joined a team responsible for developing software for a biotechnology company.

His work included projects in financial reporting, procurement, sales and distribution and manufacturing systems.  Since 2000 Scott has been programme manager for product development in ApplyIT.  He co-invented ApplyIT’s patent on a “Method of Managing Clearances” which is now included in the IntelliPERMIT product.  He has been closely involved in the sales and implementation of OpSUITE in all of ApplyIT’s largest customers.
